Centerpoint Special Services
Mrs. Hill and myself welcome you to Centerpoint's Special Services webpage!
The Centerpoint School District ensures that disabled children and youth receive a free and public education. A variety of delivery models for our services are available to meet the needs of eligible students including indirect, speech/language therapy, resource, self-contained, and homebound services.
In addition to the instruction, special education provides a multidisciplinary team to assist students, parents, and school personnel with educational needs of the student. Educational Examiners complete comprehensive evaluations/reevaluation, and provide assistance, support, and behavioral interventions as needed. Related services personnel are also available to serve students with disabilities as appropriate.
The Centerpoint School District currently serves approximately 120 students with special needs. The instructional staff has 8 resource teachers, 2 self-contain teacher, 2 speech/language pathologist, and 3 educational aides. Physical and occupational therapist serve students through contract purchase service agreement.
Again, thank you for stopping by and checking us out.
